Dr. Kene holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Toledo and completed her APA-accredited internship at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Via Christi Behavioral Health in Pittsburg, Kansas. She is a Professor in the Department of Counseling, Educational Leadership, and School Psychology at 91×ÔÅÄ (RIC), Director of the Graduate Counseling Programs at RIC, a licensed psychologist in the states of Rhode Island and Massachusetts, and is board certified in Clinical Psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). Her research and clinical work focus on suicide risk assessment, suicide prevention, and intimate partner violence — areas where she is committed to advancing both scholarship and meaningful, real-world impact.
